This file can be decrypted using the program DirtyDecrypt.exe Obviously I haven't done what it suggests. When I try to open files I get a message telling me that parts of the file are unreadable and when I click yes to recover then I get this message. When I started up today a warning notice popped up to tell me thta windows security centre isn't working and can't be switched on
I am not getting a demand for money etc which I see can happen from other posts.
I run AVG free and yesterday this told me it had stopped a removed a ransomware infection but I assume it didn't stop 100% of the problem. Hi there, I have obviously picked up malware because when I try to open excel or word files created on my pc by any user then I can't although I can open excel created by others and sent to me.
